RULES - READ CAREFULLY
1. Artwork must be original in design and executed by the accepted artist. Use of AI in art creation is strictly forbidden.
2. Artists must accompany their own work for the entire two days of the show.
3. Artists may display and sell only in the category in which their work has been accepted, e.g. only artists accepted in the jewelry category may display and sell jewelry.
4. ABSOLUTELY NO commercial dealers, agents, kits, crafts, or castings from commercial molds allowed.
Art on the Rocks committee members will visit booths periodically throughout the show. Artists violating rules of the show will be required to remove all work not in compliance or be asked to leave with no refund. Artists violating rules, no-showing, or breaking down early will be denied future entry. The Art on the Rocks committee reserves the right to make final interpretation of all rules.
JURY & BOOTH FEES
In addition to a completed application, artists must submit booth and jury fees prior to the application deadline of March 31, 2026.
Jury/Application Fee: $30 per medium (non-refundable)
Single Booth Fee (12'x12' space): $240
Double Booth Fee (24'x12' space): $420

Online payments for booth fees will be returned to denied applicants via original form of payment between April 1-15. No refunds for booth fees upon notification of acceptance into the show.

PLEASE SEND TWO SEPARATE CHECKS:
1st Check: A non-refundable jury fee of $30 per category
2nd Check: A booth fee of $240 (or $420 for double), to be deposited upon acceptance between April 1-15 or destroyed if not accepted.
IMAGE SUBMISSION
In addition to a completed application, artists must also submit three images per category of recent work as well as a photo of your booth. Images must be representative of the body of work that will be present at the show.
Images may be submitted on this form or by emailing artontherocksapp@gmail.com.
Please label files with artist's LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME followed by entry number. Example: DOE_JOHN1.jpg
Images should be high-quality JPEG or PNG. Please, no PDFs.
PRIZES
Cash prizes totaling over $4,000 will be awarded. Artists must be set up by 10:00am on Saturday when the show opens and judging begins. Award winners are invited the following year.
SHOW PROGRAM
Accepted artists' name(s), business name, city, state, website, artwork description, and medium(s) are listed on our show programs. Please make sure all of this information is provided and accurate on your application.
SALES TAX & COMMISSIONS
Artists are responsible for 6% Michigan sales tax. No commissions taken.
REGISTRATION & SET UP
Registration and artist setup will take place on Friday, July 25 between 12:00pm-6:00pm and Saturday, July 26 between 7:00am-9:00am. Upon arrival, artists must check in with Art on the Rocks staff before setup. After 8am on Saturday, no-shows without notification may hve their space reassigned. Artists will be asked to park in a designated area upon check-in, except for when set up and takedown are taking place.
LIABILITY
Overnight security is provided on Friday and Saturday nights of Show weekend as a courtesy. LSAA assumes no responsibility for loss and/or damage, for any reason, to any product or display. Artists are responsible for their own insurance.
PARK RULES
Per City of Marquette law, overnight camping in Mattson Lower Harbor Park and the adjacent parking lots is strictly forbidden.
Please fully clean up your area throughout the show and following take-down, including stray clips, fishing line, and tape.
Picnic tables are for public use only.
Parking on the grass is not allowed at this time, except during artist set up/teardown. Driving on the grass may be limited due to extremely wet conditions.
SPACE
Artists' work must be professionally displayed and limited to 12'x12' (or 24'x12' for Double Booths) space assigned. Artist must provide sturdy, protective coverings, ready for wind or rain. Spaces are assigned per artist or legal working partnership. Partners who produce individual work must submit individual applications and may request adjacent booths.
